Sussex Tech 2023 BPOY is Mancuso SalonMancuso Salon and Spa in Sparta is a longtime partner of the Sussex County Technical School’s (SCTS) Cosmetology program. The salon and owners, Mary Mancuso and Jacqueline Cox, received the school’s 2023 Business Partner of the Year honor in recognition of years of supporting both instructors and students.

Cox has especially gotten to know students as an active Advisory Board member and guest instructor. She recently taught a class on a trending “chignon” hair coloring technique. Both students and instructors enjoy such professional trainings and learning about the latest industry techniques.

“Mancuso Salon and Spa partners with our Cosmetology program and provides valuable industry feedback to our instructors on curriculum, industry trends and employment needs. Several of our graduates have joined their staff and have successful careers at their business,” said Stacy Crosson, vice principal – Career Technical Education for SCTS.

Cox and Mancuso also demonstrate a high level of professionalism for students to emulate. Their involvement, therefore, helps students graduate with both the technical and professional skills needed to have success in the workplace.

“It is a great honor to be recognized and chosen as a valuable business partner by Sussex County Technical School and their staff,” said Mancuso and Cox. “Our partnership allows us to work together to create and maintain professionalism in the salon industry and to stay abreast of the newest trends in fashion and beauty.”
