U.S. News & World Report Best Public High Schools Ranked

Two of the top-ranked high schools – High Technology High School and Edison Academy Magnet School – are also within the U.S. Top 50 high schools. High Tech High ranked #24 nationally, and Edison Academy ranked #42 nationally. Both of these schools are county vocational-technical schools and join five additional NJ county vocational-technical schools ranked in the top 100 nationally. Furthermore, these impressive county vocational-technical schools make up nine of the top 10 New Jersey high schools. Additional county vocational-technical schools are on the list of the top 25 New Jersey high schools.

The top 25 high schools (with county vocational-technical schools in bold) in New Jersey are:

  8. Union County Magnet High School, Scotch Plains
  9. Academy for Information Technology, Scotch Plains
  10. Academy for Allied Health Sciences, Scotch Plains
  11. Glen Ridge High School, Glen Ridge
  12. Marine Academy of Science and Technology, Highlands
  13. STEM Innovation Academy of the Oranges, South Orange
