Jackie Burke, executive director of the New Jersey Council of County Vocational-Technical Schools (NJCCVTS) has been named to ROI-NJ’s Power List: 2024 for Associations & Organizations.
The publication honored Burke and the NJCCVTS for “actively recruiting, teaching and training the next-generation workforce.”

Camden County has a new reason to celebrate as the Technical School located in Gloucester Township, N.J., celebrated the grand opening of a new Manufacturing and Engineering Technology (MET) career program.
Cape May County Technical School (Cape Tech) unveiled new spaces this school year to support students’ career-focused learning. The Perch Cafe and a state-of-the-art conference center are among the district’s completed projects, and many others will come to fruition over the next year. The expansion plan is funded by the state’s Securing Our Children’s Future Bond Act to grow student capacity and adjust programming to benefit both Cape May County students and employers.
In a significant step forward for career and technical education, Passaic County Technical Institute (PCTI) officially opened the John Currie Biotechnology Innovation Center. The state-of-the-art 55,000-square-foot facility will provide cutting-edge biotechnology training, which includes New Jersey’s 1st DNA Learning Center, preparing students for success in one of New Jersey’s fastest-growing industries.
