Dr. Yaritza Santana, Camden County Technical Schools' CTE Month Success Story Clinical Director and Pediatrician, CAMCare
Salutatorian of Camden County Technical Schools’ Class of 2013, Yaritza Santana continued on a trajectory of academic success. Today, she is a board-certified medical doctor specializing in Pediatrics and provides access to care for all children, regardless of their healthcare coverage.

Dr. Santana’s post-secondary accomplishments earned her the honor of Alumna of the Year at Camden County Technical Schools (CCTS) in 2024. She is a graduate of the district’s Pennsauken Campus, where she studied in the Allied Health Careers program and earned her Certified Nursing Assistant and HomeMaker/Home Health Aide certificate.

While at CCTS, Santana served as president of the Student Advisory Committee, secretary of SkillsUSA and Practical Politics, and recorder of HOSA-Future Health Professionals. She was also a member of the National Honor Society, National Technical Honor Society, and Student Council, and she volunteered for the Keystone Club of East Camden at the Boys and Girls Club.

After graduating high school, Santana attended Rowan University and graduated in 2017 with a Bachelor of Science in Biological Sciences on a pre-med track. She then attended the accelerated three-year Primary Care Track at Cooper Medical School of Rowan University. She completed her Pediatric residency at Cooper University Hospital in 2023.

Dr. Santana is currently employed as a pediatrician by CAMcare Health Corporation, a federally qualified health care center in Camden. She is a member of the American Academy of Pediatrics.

“CCTS was my first step into health care. It helped foster a passion for learning and for giving back,” Dr. Santana said. “I received an excellent education and excelled in my college courses as a result. I was challenged and supported during my years at CCTS. I wouldn’t be where I am today without all of my wonderful teachers and school counselors.”

Dr. Santana lives in Cherry Hill with her husband, Sean, and their one-year-old daughter, Rose. In her free time, she enjoys reading, volunteering, and spending time with her family.
