Morris County Vocational School District honored Meghan Hunscher, president and CEO of the Morris County Chamber of Commerce (MCCC) as its 2020 Business Partner of the Year.

The award is given annually to a county vocational technical school business partner for outstanding contributions to career and technical education. Business partners play a variety of roles, including serving on county vocational technical school program advisory boards, offering opportunities for students to gain valuable work experience, donating equipment, or serving as mentors and role models for students.

While MCC has been involved with the district for several years, Superintendent Scott Moffitt said Hunscher has demonstrated extraordinary commitment to working with the district to help provide opportunities for students.

“By offering internships, Meghan and the Morris County Chamber paved the way for students to get hands-on experience within the chamber and with other businesses,” Moffitt said.

Additionally, Meghan has coordinated ways for Morris County businesses to learn how to host interns and partner with Morris County Vocational School District.

“We have seen first-hand the benefits from hosting interns from the Morris County School of Technology,” Hunscher said. “These young people bring business-ready knowledge and skills in their fields of interest and deliver productivity to their host companies from day one.”
