January 3, 2025

Cumberland County Technical Education Center 2024 Business Partner of the Year is Rob Buono of Eastlyn Golf Course and The Inn at GreenviewOver the past five years, Eastlyn Golf Course & The Greenview Inn, based in Vineland, has partnered with Cumberland County Technical Education Center (CCTEC) to support students in the school’s Culinary Arts program. The relationship has grown in scope and impact, with both partners working strategically to introduce ongoing initiatives, such as internship and apprenticeship programs, that help ensure students are not only prepared for today’s jobs but future shifts within the hospitality industry.

CCTEC recognized the commitment of the Eastlyn and Greenview Inn team to the development of culinary students by naming the golf course and restaurant as its 2024 Business Partner of the Year. The school highlighted the leadership of Eastlyn’s Chef Rob Buono for creating such a dynamic collaboration that enhances the educational experience of students.

Chef Buono has helped CCTEC students gain real-world insight into owning and operating a successful food and beverage operation. A member of the Culinary Program Advisory Board, Buono continues to seek ways to bridge the gap between students’ classroom instruction and the realities and demands of the industry. He often serves as a guest lecturer and influences the CCTEC Culinary Arts curriculum, which takes a practical, hands-on approach and seeks to align with industry trends.

Buono also introduced internship and apprenticeship opportunities. The employment opportunities he provides to both students and program graduates make his partnership that much more invaluable.

“I am grateful for the support that Chef Rob Buono has provided to CCTEC over the years,” said CCTEC Principal Greg McGraw. “He has hosted school events, served as a classroom guest speaker, created work-based experiences for our students and served on our Culinary Program Advisory Board. Most importantly, he has supported the mission of our school by hiring CCTEC students and providing them with the opportunity to work in their chosen field. We are thankful for his support and excited to call Eastlyn Golf Course & Greenview Inn our Business Partner of the Year for 2024.”
