New Jersey Council of County Vocational-Technical Schools (NJCCVTS) Executive Director Jackie Burke appeared on the Simply Dynamic podcast to discuss career and technical education (CTE) offered across the state’s county-based schools. Her appearance during CTE Month aimed to highlight the value of a career-focused education for both students and employers looking to build a talent pipeline.

The Simply Dynamic podcast is a collaborative project led by Rowan University’s Rohrer College of Business with production assistance from Rowan University’s award-winning Department of Radio, Television & Film. Episodes in Season 3 are co-hosted by Joe Devine, executive in residence at the Rohrer College of Business and president of ExecUCoach Leadership, and Christina Renna, president & CEO of the Chamber of Commerce of Southern New Jersey.

Students and staff at Camden County Technical School in Pennsauken, aka “Penn Tech,” celebrated the grand opening of the new culinary and baking wing at their campus last month. The school’s $7.6 million expansion was funded through the Securing Our Children’s Future Bond Act and developed an area exclusively for baking and pastry arts in the main building’s first and second floors.
