Cumberland County Technical Education Center has honored Rossi Honda as its 2020 Business Partner of the Year.

The award is given annually to a county vocational technical school business partner for outstanding contributions to career and technical education. Business partners play a variety of roles, including serving on county vocational technical school program advisory boards, offering opportunities for students to gain valuable work experience, donating equipment, or serving as mentors and role models for students.

As one of CCTEC’s longest business partners, Rossi Honda in Vineland has given TEC students the opportunity to advance their skills in the automotive industry through their School to Work program,” said Superintendent Dr. Dina Rossi.

While enrolled in School-to-Work, CCTEC students earn high school credit while working in a part-time, paid position under the guidance of Rossi Honda’s highly trained mechanics. In addition, Rossi Honda has donated equipment to CCTEC, served on their technical advisory boards, and, most importantly, has consistently hired CCTEC student’s post-graduation.

“Valuable partnerships with local industry leaders, such has Rossi Honda, have provided CCTEC students with the opportunity to grow in the trades, earn high wages, and to become productive members of their community,” Rossi said. “CCTEC is very fortunate to have Rossi Honda as a business partner and looks forward to many more years of collaboration.”
