MTF Biologics Named by Monmouth County Vocational School District as 2025 Business Partner of the Year

December 16, 2025

MTF Biologics named Monmouth County Vocational School District's 2025 Business Partner of the Year.

Monmouth County Vocational School District (MCVSD) recognizes MTF Biologics in Edison, N.J., as its 2025 Business Partner of the Year. Representatives from MTF Biologics have served on the advisory board for MCVSD’s Biotechnology High School since 2021, offering insight rooted in biology and biotechnology that has strengthened instruction and supported student growth.

MTF Biologics is a global nonprofit organization that saves and heals lives by honoring donated tissue, serving patients and advancing science. Its divisions, the International Institute for the Advancement of Medicine (IIAM) and Statline, support the medical research community and organ, tissue and eye procurement organizations. Its sister organization, the German Institute for Cell and Tissue Transplantation (DIZG), expands its reach internationally.

Over the last four years, MTF Biologics professionals have served as advisors to Biotechnology High School through board participation, and in the past two years offered mentorship opportunities. Last year, two seniors participated in the school’s work-based Senior Mentorship program in partnership with MTF Biologics, where they completed research projects, toured laboratories and clean rooms, and met with professionals across the organization. Through these department visits, students gained a clearer understanding of the many steps involved in moving donated tissue from acquisition to final preparation for patients.

The experience exposed students to the many career paths within MTF Biologics, including donor services, quality engineering, process engineering, patents, packaging and research. Students noted that this mentorship gave them a deeper appreciation for how donated tissue reaches patients and broadened their understanding of biotechnology careers.

This year, MTF Biologics is mentoring six additional students from the Class of 2026 through on-site, work-based learning. In total, eight students have participated in MTF Biologics mentorships over the past two years, with more opportunities expected in the future.

“MTF Biologics has been a welcome addition to our advisory board for the last four years. Their professionals’ insight and guidance have grown Biotechnology High School curricula and sparked skills development for future careers in the scientific industry; they have been crucial in building our program and experiences,” said Sharon Bryant, Ed.D., principal of Biotechnology High School. “Last year, we expanded our relationship to include mentorship experiences for students…and we look forward to this aspect of our relationship continuing to grow.”

“On behalf of my colleagues at MTF Biologics, we are honored to be named Biotechnology High School’s Business Partner of the Year. Supporting students as they explore the world of biotechnology aligns perfectly with our mission to save and heal lives. We are grateful for the meaningful partnership we are building together,” said Jason Korth, senior portfolio manager at MTF Biologics.
