CentraState Medical Center - Business Partner of the Year

CentraState Medical Center has been named the Monmouth County Vocational School District’s 2021 Business Partner of the Year. Gary Triolo, director of food and nutrition services for CentraState, and his staff have become significant partners of the district’s Career Center, which provides career-focused training and related instruction to students with disabilities in grades 9-12.

For more than five years, students from the MCVSD Career Center in bakery & pastry arts, building services, food services and materials handling programs have participated in work-based learning experiences in several departments at CentraState Medical Center. Participating students work for a full year, three days a week, from 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. The students work under the guidance of mentors and gain significant hands-on practical skills in their vocational pathways. Some students have been offered full-time employment by CentraState; some are still working at the Medical Center and now mentor current Career Center students.
