Hogan Security Group receives Mercer County Technical Schools’ 2025 Business Partner of the Year honor

December 3, 2025

Hogan Security named Mercer County Technical Schools 2025 Business Partner of the Year.

Since 2016, Hogan Security Group has helped Mercer County Technical Schools (MCTS) Electrical, HVAC, Carpentry and Auto Collision students gain the knowledge and skills to succeed in their chosen fields. The company, located in Pennington, initially partnered with the school to hire students from various programs but has since added internships and established a pre-apprenticeship program. In recognition of Hogan Security Group’s dedication to preparing students for successful careers, including introducing them to opportunities in the security business, MCTS has named the company the 2025 Business Partner of the Year.

“MCTS has helped fill a void in our ever-growing industry,” said Dan Hogan, president and founder of the Hogan Security Group. “The school provides vetted, skilled, pre-apprenticeship candidates and career-ready talent.”

Hogan and Co-President Angela Leaney visit MCTS campuses every fall and spring to offer internships and pre-apprentice opportunities to students. They also have served on the MCTS General Advisory Council and participate in the district’s Adult Career Fairs.

The relationship is mutually beneficial as Hogan Security Group provides multiple career pathways that match the skills and knowledge students develop across various programs at MCTS. The company’s work-based learning opportunities are clear entry points to full-time employment.

“Dan and Angela of the Hogan Security Group have revolutionized the recruitment process for many programs under the MCTS umbrella by visiting annually with a short presentation to each of our Career Clusters,” said Dave Nash and George Gent, MCTS work-based learning coordinators. “They are able to unlock student interest and encourage a healthy career mindset.”

The Hogan Security Group also supports the MCTS Culinary Arts program by purchasing 250 pies each year to gift to employees.
