DeSesa Engineering Company, Inc. Named Sussex County Technical School’s 2025 Business Partner of the Year

December 18, 2025

2025 Business Partner of the Year at Sussex County Technical Schools is DeSesa Engineering.

Sussex County Technical School District proudly recognizes DeSesa Engineering Company, Inc., of Livingston, as its 2025 Business Partner of the Year. Over the past two school years, DeSesa has demonstrated exceptional dedication to Sussex Tech’s Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning and Refrigeration (HVAC/R) program by providing extensive equipment donations, technical support and industry expertise that have strengthened instruction and enhanced student learning.

DeSesa Engineering equipped the HVAC program with a wide range of new and used systems, tools and instructional materials that reflect the technologies students will encounter in the field. These contributions have transformed the program’s shop into a space that mirrors real industry environments, enabling students to gain hands-on experience with current HVAC equipment and develop practical skills that prepare them for high-demand technical careers.

In addition to equipment donations, DeSesa supported the program by loaning specialized tools and arranging upcoming guest speaker demonstrations that will introduce students to advanced piping methods and commercial HVAC applications. Such ongoing involvement ensures students are learning relevant, modern systems and receiving exposure to authentic industry practices.

DeSesa Engineering has partnered with the district since November 2024, when HVAC instructor Brian Sterling sought support from DeSesa to outfit the HVAC shop. The relationship has evolved into an ongoing collaboration that goes beyond equipment donations to include instructional support and advice about the program. The company’s service manager, Tony Cuntrera, represents DeSesa on the Sussex Tech HVAC Advisory Board, offering industry insight that helps align the career program with current field standards and evolving workforce needs.

The company’s support directly benefits the 50 to 60 students annually enrolled in the HVAC/R program. Through DeSesa’s generosity, students not only gain technical skills through relevant hands-on learning opportunities, but they also build confidence and receive guidance that further improves their career readiness.

“Ralph DiDomenico and the entire DeSesa Engineering team have been outstanding partners in education. Their continued generosity and professional support have provided my HVAC students with the tools, equipment and real-world experiences that truly bring classroom learning to life,” said HVAC instructor Brian Sterling of the company’s controller and his team.

“The partnership between DeSesa Engineering and Sussex Tech is one we value greatly. Together, we are helping to develop a skilled, confident and job-ready generation of HVAC/R technicians. It is a privilege to collaborate with a district so committed to high-quality technical education,” said Ralph DiDomenico of DeSesa Engineering Co., Inc.
