Miller Electric Manufacturing Company - Business Partner of the Year

Union County Vocational-Technical Schools has named Miller Electric Manufacturing Company as the 2021 Business Partner of the Year. Dennis Mead represents Miller on the district’s Advisory Board for the welding program, helping to ensure the program provides students with relevant learning experiences to meet the latest industry requirements. The district appreciates Mead’s willingness to provide feedback on curriculum, equipment, professional learning and student assessment.

Mead also has facilitated Miller Electric Manufacturing Company’s substantial donation of equipment for student use, including helmets, welding jackets, masks, gloves and more. This further emphasizes the company’s commitment to the success of both the teacher and students at UCVTS in the welding program. That commitment helps create a new pipeline of highly skilled and motivated workers entering this trade.
