Diamond Materials - Business Partner of the Year

Salem County Vocational Technical School has named Diamond Materials, a full-service site contractor, as its 2021 Business Partner of the Year. Diamond Materials has proven to be a valuable resource for the district, providing both training and employment opportunities for students in several SCVTS programs.

Diamond Materials representatives participate in career awareness events throughout the year for construction, electrical and welding programs. The company’s president, Rich Pierson, Jr., meets and interviews seniors before graduation. Those offered positions begin full-time employment in June, right after graduation. After working through the summer, those new graduates have the option to enter Diamond Materials’ apprenticeship program. When not on the job sites, they receive paid training and instruction.
