U.S. News & World Report Best Public High Schools Ranked

Two of the top-ranked high schools – High Technology High School and Edison Academy Magnet School – are also within the U.S. Top 50 high schools. High Tech High ranked #24 nationally, and Edison Academy ranked #42 nationally. Both of these schools are county vocational-technical schools and join five additional NJ county vocational-technical schools ranked in the top 100 nationally. Furthermore, these impressive county vocational-technical schools make up nine of the top 10 New Jersey high schools. Additional county vocational-technical schools are on the list of the top 25 New Jersey high schools.

A record-setting 367 students set to graduate this month from New Jersey’s county vocational-technical high schools have already earned an associate degree. This year’s total increased over last year’s by 30 associate degree recipients, indicating greater awareness among New Jersey high school students and their families about the range of educational opportunities provided by the county-based technical schools.

From classroom to cockpit, Atlantic County Institute of Technology’s (ACIT) Aviation Studies program is launching junior student Andrew Merlock into the prestigious Air Force Junior ROTC (AFJROTC) Flight Academy. Merlock will continue to train for and earn his private pilot certification over the summer break. His selection highlights ACIT’s expanding role in preparing students for aviation and aerospace careers through hands-on, industry-connected learning.
